Marin Job Site WiFi
We bring in bonded cellular or satellite internet, spread WiFi over the lot and the trailer, and keep it running on a month-to-month plan until you hand back the keys.
Getting a usable connection on a Marin build
Plenty of Marin lots sit in a canyon, behind a ridge or under a stand of redwoods, and a single phone signal drops in and out all day. That gets old fast when the super needs to open a plan set, upload inspection photos or run a video call with the architect. A proper site kit gives the whole crew one steady connection.
Our cellular kits bond two or more carriers into one link, LTE or 5G depending on what reaches the lot. When no carrier is strong enough, we set up a Starlink-class satellite dish with a clear view of the sky. Either way, mesh access points carry WiFi out to the trailer, the garage and the far corner of the pad.
Internet is also the backbone for other gear on site. The same link can feed solar camera trailers with live view, and it needs a steady circuit to run on, which usually comes from the temporary pole on your lot or a generator during a shutoff.

Internet options for construction sites
Each lot is different, so we carry a few kinds of equipment and mix them as needed.
Bonded LTE and 5G
A router combines two or more carrier connections. If one tower is busy or weak, traffic shifts to the others and the link stays up.
Satellite kits
A low-orbit dish works where cell coverage is poor, as long as it can see open sky. Tall trees and steep canyon walls can limit where it goes.
Mesh WiFi coverage
Weatherproof access points spread the signal across the pad, the trailer and the structure as it goes up.
Office trailer setup
We can wire the trailer with a small switch for printers, desktops and a plan table display. In summer, a hot trailer full of electronics also benefits from a small ducted air conditioner.
Guest and crew networks
We can split the WiFi so the office, the cameras and the crew each get their own network, which keeps a dozen phones streaming music from slowing down the plan downloads.
Backup power for the link
A small battery backup keeps the modem up through a short outage. For longer shutoffs, a standby generator on site keeps it running.
What site internet costs in Marin
Most job site internet plans land between $250 and $700 a month, depending on the hardware, the data you use and whether satellite is part of the setup.
- Cellular, satellite or a combination
- Number of bonded carriers
- How many access points the site needs
- Expected data use from cameras and video calls
- Trailer wiring and extra network gear
Setup and removal are part of the quote. Plans run month to month, so you stop paying when the project is done.
How we set up site internet
1. Survey the signal
We check every major carrier at the trailer spot and around the lot, and look at the sky view if satellite might be needed.
2. Pick the kit
Based on the readings, we recommend bonded cellular, satellite or a mix, and size the mesh for the area you need covered.
3. Install and test
We mount the antennas or dish, run the cabling, set up the access points and run speed tests from the places your crew actually works.
4. Support and move
If the link slows down or the trailer moves, call us and we will adjust the gear. When the job wraps, we pull everything out.
When a site connection pays for itself
A phone hotspot works for a quick email. It falls apart once a few people need the connection at the same time.
Office trailers on long builds
A project manager working out of a trailer for six months or more needs reliable access to email, schedules, submittals and the accounting system.
Remote inspections and video calls
Some inspectors and design teams now do quick walkthroughs by video. A dropped call wastes their time and yours.
Cameras that need an uplink
Security cameras and timelapse units need a connection to send alerts and footage. One site kit can carry them along with the office.
Lots with no landline option
On a new parcel or a rebuild, there is often no wired internet to order, and a carrier install can take a long time to schedule.
Shared crews across several trades
Once the electrician, plumber and HVAC sub are all on site, everyone wants to pull up drawings and submit photos at the same hour. A kit with real bandwidth keeps that from stalling.
Why crews use our internet kits
We test signal on the lot before we recommend anything, then build the kit around what we find. Because we also handle the electrical side, we can put in a dedicated circuit for the gear and keep it off the same breaker as the table saw. When something stops working, you call one number and talk to the people who installed it.
- Signal tested on site before we quote a plan
- Multiple carriers bonded so one weak tower does not drop you
- Satellite option for canyon and ridge lots
- Mesh access points placed for the trailer and the work area
- Dedicated power circuit for the modem and access points
- Month-to-month billing with setup and removal included
Common questions about site internet
Will cellular work on my lot?
We test it before we quote. If every carrier is weak, we recommend satellite instead, or a mix of the two.
How fast is the connection?
That depends on the signal and the kit. We run speed tests during setup and share the numbers so you know what to expect.
Can the internet run during a power shutoff?
Only if the gear has power. A battery backup covers a short outage. For a full PSPS event, it needs a generator.
What if the signal changes as the house goes up?
New walls and roofs can block a signal that was fine on day one. Call us and we will move an access point or the antenna to bring coverage back.
Do I need a long contract?
No. Plans are monthly, and you can end service when the project closes out.
Can you connect my security cameras to it?
Yes. Our camera trailers can share the site link, or run on their own cellular uplink if they sit far from the trailer.
